Natural Silk Ribbon Dyeing
Presented by Marcia of Maine’s Lana Plantae Farmed Yarns. With demand for beautiful, naturally dyed, silk ribbons skyrocketing, we’ve asked Marcia to demonstrate the timeless art of dyeing. She’ll discuss the fine points of what natural dyeing means, what the process entails, and how colors are achieved. Participants will create ribbons that will be utilized on foam-free bouquets.
Art of the Bouquet
During this session Rayne and Laura will walk participants through the process of creating an elegant, artful, foam-free, hand-tied bouquet. These beautiful bouquets will be wrapped with our luxurious naturally dyed silk ribbons and will become the focal points at the table of our Grand Goodbye Dinner.
Design in the Round
In this session we’ll focus on creating a foam-free, free-form crescent moon composition display that maximizes floor space. Rayne will share her mechanic and construction secrets!
TableScaping in the Round
Designing a beautiful table comes with careful planning and execution. Laura will help us explore the world of tablescaping using carefully curated vintage elements and modern components which include stemware from local glass artisan Joseph Webster of Joseph Webster Glass.
